Privacy.
We have a complete privacy policy available at link.com.au. It covers LINK Books (LINKBOOKKEEPING PTY LTD, ABN 31 159 120 733) and every other LINK division - what we collect, why, who we disclose it to including the ATO, super funds and software providers, how it is held, and how to access it, correct it or complain.
One policy for the whole group, kept in one place - so it is always the current version.
What runs on this website
The group policy says what runs on each site differs. Here is the answer for this one: Vercel’s analytics, which counts pages and sets no cookies at all, and Google Tag Manager.
Tag Manager is worth being straight about. It is a container our marketing team controls, and its job is to load other measurement tools without anyone changing the website — so what it loads can change without a release, and this page cannot give you a list that stays true. Depending on what is in it at the time, it may set cookies or pass information to Google. If you want to know what is running on the day you ask, contact the Privacy Officer through the group policy and we will tell you.
One thing worth naming, because it is not obvious: if you use the fee estimator, we are told when someone reaches the end of it and sees a range - the options you tapped and the range you landed on - whether or not you then ask us for it in writing. We use it to see whether the tool is doing its job. Everything else you put into a form reaches us only when you press send.
Two pages embed something from another company. Our contact page shows a Google map, which loads from Google when the page opens - so Google receives that request and its own privacy policy applies to it. One industry page has a client video hosted by Vimeo; it does not load until you press play, and we ask Vimeo not to track viewers.
As your registered BAS agent
Complaints about our conduct as a registered BAS agent are handled by the Tax Practitioners Board, not through the privacy policy. Our important information for clients page explains that process.
